What a wonderful book! It did take me quite a few pages to decide it was worth finishing but I'm really glad I did. This books follows a young girl through life as she knows it. It outlines what it is like to grow up in a culture filled with sacred Gods, rituals, and family.
The book can be hard to follow at times because there are many characters but she does a good job of keeping them all differentiated for the reader. Throughout the book you will follow along as she falls in love, loses family members due to heinous crimes, and moves with her family from one part of the land to another.
Very good book!
