The Little Sister

I'm on a roll today huh? Several weeks/months of no posts and now I have 3 in one day! Anywho, I just had to share this adorable onesie a dear friend had made for Lauren as a gift to us. It will definitely go in the keepsake box once we are done with it.

Lauren will forever be Megan's little sister. Not a day goes by where we do not think of MG and the impact she has made on our life.

While at the same time we enjoy this little blessing and all of the joy she brings to our lives. Forever sisters, forever our daughters, forever loved by both of us!

One Month Old

Our tiny baby girl is growing up right before our eyes. One month already?!? Time is flying by so fast I feel like I should start planning her first birthday party already.

We really enjoyed every minute of the first month even though it sped by at warp speed. Lauren just has the best temperment. She is calm until she is hungry then it is code red. Other than that she just sleeps or hangs out quietly.

She is starting to be able to see things and follow voices. It is really cool to watch!

We weighed her at home the other day and it looks like she is over 10 lbs already. Chunky monkey :)

In her first month, she has been to the mountains to see the leaves and to her first football game. She has also met many of the wonderful friends and family that love her so dearly.

My hope for the months ahead is that they are as much fun as this first one has been. We are so truly grateful and blessed to have this little girl in our lives each and every day. While I do want time to slow down I also can't wait to see who this little person becomes as she continues to learn and grow!

1st Halloween!

Fall Fun

It is no secret that this is my favorite time of year. This year I have yet another reason to enjoy it.

At some point in her life she will pay me back ten fold for actually putting her in a pumpkin. Isn't it cute though? She sleeps so well that she barely woke up enough to realize that she was in fact inside a pumpkin.

Again. Barely awake. We took her to the pumpkin patch so we could pick out the perfect pumpkin (see above) for her first Halloween. The very nice lady at the pumpkin patch volunteered to take our picture. Not the best picture but it will have to do for this year.

And last but not least a couple of weeks ago we drove up to do some "leaf peeping" but the leaves hadn't really turned where we went. Oh well we got a picture of Lauren (sleeping...again) and I in the mountains.

Tiny Pirate Fan

We are still here. Things are going really well adjusting to having Lauren home with us.

I'll spare everyone the gushing over how wonderful being a new mom again has been so far. Lauren has really just been the best little baby so far. She sleeps, she eats well, we think she is pretty cute, and Tonka loves her. I'm not sure we really could have asked for anything better so far.
She is such a fabulous baby we have already toted her to her first Pirate game. It was a blast and she did wonderfully! I carried her in carrier all day while she just slept. It was amazing to see her sleep through everything including all the fans cheering.
