9 Months

On the total opposite end of the spectrum from yesterday's post is today's.

Our baby girl is 9 months old!

Her personality is really starting to shine! She is the most fun kid I think I've ever met.

These two pictures really capture how she truly is during most of the day each day.

We just love that she is so happy!

She is also very curious. It is so amusing to watch her explore her little world each day. Some days I feel as if I can just see those little wheels turning in her head.

Just this week she learned how to drink from a sippy cup.

That was really fun to watch.

For about a month now she has been drinking water out of a water bottle or glass if you gave her a sip so for her the water bottle was no big deal :)

She also started dancing this week. It is hilarious! Today when I rounded the corner to her room at daycare she was sitting there dancing on the floor. If you watch her she will stop which is just as funny as her dance moves.

We are really loving this age and can't wait to see what this little one has in store for next month.

On Your Second Birthday

We are still honored to be your parents.

Yet we still miss you every day.

The anticipation of getting through another birthday without you was difficult.

The actual day is even worse.

It is hard to find the parts to celebrate.

However I do feel like they are there if we stay focused.

You touched many lives in your short time on Earth.

And continue to reach out and touch more each year as we present your scholarship to a deserving student.

We are so proud that while you are gone your legacy continues to give.

Thank you for making us parents Megan Grace.

We love you!

8 Months

Happy 8 Months Sweet Lauren!

This post is obviously just shy of one month late. Better late than never I suppose!

Lauren's 8 month birthday was spent at the pool. Her very first trip!

She hated it. In her defense, it was Memorial Day and the pool was still a wee bit chilly despite it being close to 100 outside.

The little diva much preferred sitting on her blanket and playing with her toys while people watching.

She has mastered sitting and doing the army crawl. Her father thinks she is left handed because she pulls herself from point A to point B using her left arm. It is quite the amusing situation to watch.

She is still the most chill baby ever. Rarely does she get upset. Most of her time is spent smiling and babbling while exploring her environment.

And she now loves to eat baby food! After flat out refusing it for quite a few weeks, it is now impossible to shovel it in fast enough. Yum yum!

We are really loving her antics more and more each month.

Stay tuned for her 9 month post :)

Father's Day Smelled of Dead Fish

You thought I was kidding didn't you?

For like 2+ years my husband has been telling me about this fishing tournament. I kid you not, it would probably make his life to be able to fish in it someday except there are two major problems:

1) It is expensive just to enter plus there are a ton of additional costs involved.

2) He doesn't really have a clue what he is doing.

So he is going to have to settle for going to watch the fish come in instead.

So off we went to visit a long time family friend plus another friend I "met" on the interwebs at least 2 years ago. I was so glad to finally meet her!

Anywho, that is our boat right there in the picture above. Not those "small" ones of course. I'm talking about the really BIG one.

And this time I am joking of course. That yacht is called Seafair and it was docked while en route up to New England or so we were told. Either way it was large. Those smaller boats aren't actually small at all it is just that the big boat was HUGE.

Hey Mom, that boat isn't really that impressive so I'm going to take a nap now.

P.S. I found this dress at the little corner farmer's market that morning. The lady had a ton of handmade pillowcase dresses and I may have bought one (or two). Adorable!

This guy had the same idea. We watched him nap for at least an hour while waiting to see if any big fish came in.

They didn't.

And this is the hubs (on the right) and his friend of many years who lives in this beautiful town. We will be back soon my friends!

Overall, it was a great Father's Day and I may have had more fun than he did. It was really fun and I can't wait to go back next year!

Thank You Notes Take 2

This was posted below but Blogger is not being as nice to me today as Shutterfly.

I've used Shutterfly for years. Earlier this year I used the 3 month pictures taken by Christina Evans to make thank you cards. They were a big hit!

Thanks to Shutterfly and their awesome discount codes I just did it again :)

I can't wait until they arrive because I owe quite a few people a thank you.

Happy Friday!
