This Face Does Not Even Fully Convey Her Dislike

We have been a bit slack in getting Lauren started on solids. Part of it has been sheer laziness because it takes time and effort. The other part is that I have not really felt like she was ready.

A couple of weeks ago we tried apples. She got choked to the point it scared me so we waited until today when I decided to try solids once more.

Bananas were on the menu for today. As you can see Lauren was not a fan at all.

We probably got about 10 "bites" in her mouth after which she made a face similar to this each time. Once she realized that we obviously we too stupid to understand that she was not digging the bananas she closed up her mouth all together.

I'm planning on giving bananas a few more days before we move to something else. At this point, my little munchkin seems content to just drink milk her whole life :)

All Decked Out For The Big Game

The husband and I had homemade pizza for dinner. This is the second time I have made it myself, (dough and all) and it sure is yummy! The added bonus is that it is also way cheaper than delivery. That is always good news!

If I had my way, we would have had something other than Heart Attack Waiting To Happen pizza but the husband does not care for fruits and vegetables on pizza so I let him have his way.....this time.

My favorite flavor is pineapple and ham. What is yours?

Today is his 3rd birthday! He has been a wonderful addition to our family since the day we brought him home.

Thanks for being such a wonderful companion big buddy. We love you!

And I guess we have issues with wearing clothing out of season because your eyes are not failing you when looking at this picture. I am wearing Halloween pants and Christmas socks ;)

Tacky

Today was Tacky Day at daycare. We love Lauren's daycare for many reasons but stuff like this just makes it so much more fun for both the kids and parents.

Her outfit started out a lot tackier but she spit up on the first two parts so she ended up in this which honestly looks waaaay less tacky than I intended.

Oh well such is life with a kid who spits up as a hobby!

5 Months

Life feels like it is fast forward for me right now. Work has just been really busy plus I have been running a ton in my free time among many other things.

One thing I have been trying to do unsuccessfully for the last month is get a picture of Lauren's two front teeth. I was finally able to get one yesterday morning after taking about 27,490 different pictures.

Ladies and gentlemen I'd like to introduce Lauren's two front teeth :) Aren't they cute?

In other news, she got really tickled laughing at me the other morning. It was hilarious! We had gotten her to smile and laugh but never this much. Apparently I'm really funny. Who knew?

She still rolls over from time to time but she seems to do it only when she wants to do it. I guess that gives us a glimpse of what is in store for the future.

Things are still going really well for us. The whole 5 month thing is throwing me for a loop. On hand I feel like she just got here but on the other I feel like she has been here forever.
